Youth Award in the field of nanoindustry-2010

The Russian Youth Award in the field of nanoindustry was established by the State Corporation "Russian Corporation of Nanotechnologies" and has been awarded since 2009. The prize is awarded for the development and implementation of a new nanotechnology product or the development of its production.

In 2010, the Prize fund will amount to 300,000 rubles.

Citizens of the Russian Federation under the age of 35 who are not members of the management and award bodies have the right to be nominated for the Award. It is allowed to nominate third parties for the Award, as well as self-nomination.

The composition of the management and award bodies: the Management Board of Rosnanotech GC, the Scientific and Technical Council of Rosnanotech GC, the Pre-Selection Commission.

The pre-selection Commission is formed on an annual basis from full-time employees of Rosnanotech Group with the involvement of representatives of organizations supporting the Award: the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Support of Russia, Business Russia, Expert magazine.

Award Procedure:

Stage 1. In the period from June 14 to June 30, 2010, out of the total number of applications received, the Pre-Selection Commission selects 5 (five) that most correspond to the goals and objectives of the Award. The authors of the applications selected by the Commission will be notified of the results of the selection no later than July 12, 2010. They will be invited to the award ceremony of the Prize winner within the framework of the plenary session of the Third International Forum on Nanotechnology with payment of travel and accommodation. Presentation materials on the 5 best developments will be placed next to the stand of Rosnanotech Group at the exhibition within the framework of the Forum or in the lobby next to the plenary hall.

Stage 2. Five applications selected at the pre-selection stage are submitted for consideration by the members of the Scientific and Technical Council of Rosnanotech Group, from which 2 (two) applications are selected for consideration by the Board of Rosnanotech Group from July 1 to July 15, 2010.

Stage 3. The winner of the competitive selection is determined at a meeting of the Management Board of Rosnanotech Group by July 31, 2010.

The winner of the Award will be announced during the plenary session of the Third International Forum on Nanotechnology on November 1, 2010.

In 2009, Evgeny Sevastyanov, an electronics engineer of the Tomsk NPP Senseria LLC, became the winner of the Award for the development and implementation of a fundamentally new fire gas detector IP 435-1. The award ceremony took place on October 6, 2009 within the framework of the plenary session of the Second International Forum on Nanotechnology in the presence of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Anatolyevich Medvedev.
