Ahtung! "Ukrain" is flying to Ukraine!

The good news flew through the Ukrainian media:
A cure for 120 types of cancer is coming to Ukraine! The title clearly doesn't smell like roses.

The content that different publications literally copy from each other is also:

Director of the Ukrainian Anti-Cancer Institute in Vienna (Austria), inventor of the anti-cancer drug "Ukrain" Vasyl Novitsky is ready to transfer a thousand ampoules of the drug for the first stage of clinical trials in Ukraine. It is not yet known which institution will conduct the tests.

"I would be happy to take this drug for research," said Vladimir Rozumenko, MD, head of the Clinic of Neuro–Oncology at the Institute of Neurosurgery of the National Academy of Medical Sciences. – Without confirmation, I do not believe that a drug with such a composition can fight tumors. I learned from foreign colleagues – they do not use "Ukrain". And they want to introduce it to us, because the author is from Ukraine."

Novitsky also claims that "Ukraine" can treat 120 types of cancer, in particular, melanoma (skin cancer). They say that the drug is made on the basis of celandine and is the first in the world to destroy only cancer cells without harming healthy ones. In addition, it supposedly regenerates the immune system. Recall that a few years ago Novitsky presented more than one batch of his medicine for the treatment of Chernobyl children and orphans.

Then (according to the principle of "elder in the garden") there is another injection about swine flu and suspicious German vaccines, which are worse than the unforgettable KAKA and other vaccines with which the world behind the scenes, with the complicity of the Ukrainian Ministry of Health, poisons the Ukrainian people.

Given to create the illusion of objectivity, the words of Pan Rozumenka cause some bewilderment. The drug "from 120 types of cancer" was discussed more than once, including on the Oncological portal of Ukraine this fall.

Briefly and clearly – in the first two messages in the topic "Cure for cancer "Ukrain"", launched on October 13, 2009:

andrix, visitor:
Hello, recently I saw on TV how the medicine "Ukrain" is being praised (about almost 100% cancer treatment), I turned to Uncle Google and brought into doubt several facts related to the news.
Please tell us what you know about this medicine? Is it really that healing? If so, where can I buy it? and how much does it cost?

Sergey, SuperAdministrator:
To be brief, this is not a cure, but another divorce, and moreover with a long experience.
Ukraine was very popular in the mid-90s, but it did not bring results, however, as expected.
Here it has surfaced again.

Further long dispute between doctors and suspiciously active defender of "Ukraine" under the nickname bmf can be read here. But there is too much typical forum nonsense and emotionalism in this thread.

Better read the article (in fact, a selection of quotes), which was soon (October 15, 2009) published on the same portal:
"Is Ukraine a cure for cancer? A panacea? Or another brainwashing and purses?".
(The answer, in general, is obvious – "or".)

There was information in the media about the new miracle cure for cancer "Ukrain". The emphasis is placed in such a way that this drug is almost a panacea for cancer. Practically guarantees a complete cure of pathologies, unlike official medicine. Official medicine never guarantees anything, but at least it treats!

Let's figure out what kind of miracle medicine it is, and is it as wonderful as the manufacturer claims?

To begin with, I will inform you that "Ukraine" is not new at all. The peak of its popularity in the CIS countries was in the mid-90s. On the territory of Ukraine, the melon drug was promoted even by the chief oncologist, citizen Shchepotin and many other "specialists". Sick people literally fought for the right to buy medicine. But the expected results of "Ukraine" did not bring, however, as one would expect.

Based on the materials of RussMEDIA:Anatoly Potopalsky, a graduate of the Ivano-Frankivsk Medical Institute, was the first to draw attention to the possibility of using the ability of plants to influence a living organism in medical practice.
It was in the 60s of the 20th century. It was he who came up with the idea to use biologically active extract from ordinary celandine as a medicine to combat antitumor and anticancer diseases.
Working with biologically active celandine molecules, he received a drug called AMITOSINE. "A" – denial, "mitosis" – cell division.
That is, the drug prevented the proliferation of malignant cells.
Vasil-Yaroslav Novitsky, working on the amitosine of his colleague and inventor of the drug Potopalsky already in Austria, perfected the medicine and named it UKRAINIAN.
– I made the medicine in Austria in 1975, – said Vasily Novitsky at one of the conferences, – In 1976, it was tested on animals. The drug was allowed for use

Oncologist A.R. Zaretsky:
"Ukrain" was declared precisely as a semi–synthetic drug – according to the manufacturers, the Ukraine molecule is one molecule of the cytostatic thiophosphamide (Thiotepa) surrounded by three molecules of the alkaloid chelidonin isolated from celandine. Some cytostatic effect of "Ukraine" has been recorded in a number of preclinical and in some clinical trials, however, as far as I know, the drug has never reached phase III. Nevertheless, manufacturers actively sell it to patients – at first the company started active activities in Ukraine, and then commercial activity in the CIS had to be curtailed, and the company opened in Austria. So, relatively recently (BMC Cancer. 2006. Jan 17; 6(1):14) the full extent of fraud with this drug was revealed – in addition to the fact that its antitumor activity leaves much to be desired, it turned out that there is no "Ukraine" as such – when analyzing the substance provided by the manufacturers of Ukraine by HPLC and mass spectrometry, no semi-synthetic substance was detected, and the pro–apoptotic and radiosensitizing effect of "Ukraine", as it turned out, is completely reduced to the effect of celandine alkaloids - chelidonin, cheleritrin and sanguinarine (see: http://www.biomedcentral.com/content/pdf/1471-2407-6-14.pdf ). Only here Ukraine sellers are unlikely to stop all this.

Oncologist surgeon D.V. Kozlov:
There is nothing fundamentally new. Derivatives of thiophosphoric acid (and phosphoric acid in general) have long been traditionally used in chemotherapeutic practice. These are, for example, drugs such as thiophosphadine, thiodipine, one of the basic drugs – cyclophosphane, etc. The properties of celandine to influence tumors and polyps of the gastrointestinal tract have also been noticed for a long time. Also folk medicine. Extensive scientific research has also been conducted in terms of celandine. Yes, there are certain effects on the growth of neoplasms. But the effectiveness of this influence is extremely exaggerated by "folk doctors". "Miraculous healings" are either a publicity stunt or a mistake in diagnosis, which is not so rare in oncology. A new one is a combination of two old drugs in one. Well, there is some kind of efficiency – very good. Every year, a huge number of new chemotherapy drugs are invented. The trouble is that showing themselves well in experimental studies, they do not so often give tangible results in clinical practice. After all, it is possible to finally judge the effectiveness of the drug only by the survival rate of sick people, and not laboratory rats and dogs. But this is the opinion in general.

Hematologist S.V. Dyma:
I would like to see reports about such an amazing drug in specialized medical literature, and not on TV or in the yellow press. The internationally accepted standard for proving the effectiveness of the drug is the result of a double-blind randomized trial. But no one has conducted such a study with Ukraine. Presented on the website http://www.ukrin.com / clinical cases cannot be evidence of efficacy as there is no data on the treatment performed or carried out in parallel. In addition, if the drug helped one patient, but killed (worsened the condition) 10, it can hardly be considered suitable for use. (This is just a reflection)
As you can see, there is no miracle, and moreover, there is a direct and brazen fraud of people! People who are ready to give everything for their lives and the lives of their loved ones. Derivatives of the "panacea" are the usual long-known cytostatics plus celandine, and there are no promised semi-synthetic molecules!

Vitrotest company writes in its news feed:
...It should be noted that if earlier doctors considered it expedient to use the drug "Ukrain" only in oncology, then recently the scope of application of this drug is expanding. Thus, in the course of clinical and experimental studies, it was found that the drug has immunomodulatory properties, that is, while remaining non-toxic to the body, it regenerates the immune system.
In Ukraine, such studies were conducted in an experiment at the Institute of Oncology under the supervision of Doctor of Medical Sciences Yuri Grinevich and revealed the positive effect of the drug on various parts of the immune system. Clinical studies of "Ukraine" were conducted on the basis of the National Medical University by Doctor of Medical Sciences Vera Kazmirchuk. During these studies, a clinical effect was found when using the drug in children who often had bronchitis and pneumonia for a long time, were actively treated for a long time, but without proper effect. After the publication of the results of these and other studies in the medical press, interest in the drug has grown significantly. Last year, even in parliament, a proposal was put to the vote to purchase a drug for the treatment of sick and weakened children.

Everything is right. Why focus only on oncology? Such a miracle medicine needs to be promoted further, as far and deeper as possible, what a space... Now it's clear for sure, "Ukraine" is the cure for everything!!! Treats tumors, bronchitis, pleurisy, pneumonia, headache, strabismus, constipation, kidney liver, and everything else too... Are you sick? Come to us, "Ukraine" will help!

I hope this article will help you make the right decision.

Sergey Troitsky

I wonder, after all, who does "Ukraine" and its developer and seller have the same mysterious bmf and especially another character under the transparent nickname of Ukraine, who in the comments to the above article also rushes, like Alexander Matrosov, to defend another panacea? Read these facts, if you want – also a typical squabble for discussions of all sorts of miracle drugs between specialists and just sane people on the one hand and gullible laymen and obvious employees of the manufacturer on the other.

By the way, the course of treatment with this (to put it mildly, very dubious) drug is from 21 to 38 thousand euros.
