The magic "ring of life"

The authorities in Tatarstan promise to reduce the missing mortality

The hit of "innovative medicine" in Russia at the restless end of the twentieth century – the "Kremlin pill" was, as its sellers assured, created in the early 1980s in a domestic strictly secret laboratory for the treatment and rejuvenation of elders from the Politburo of the Central Committee of the CPSU. The life of the Politburo – as, indeed, of the entire CPSU – she, as you know, did not prolong, but in the future she greatly decorated the life of its distributors – the columnist of Idel recalled for some reason.Realities" by Marina Yudkevich.

The newest miracle remedy will come to Tatarstan from the east, more precisely, from the Eastern Economic Forum. An agreement has just been signed there by PharMedOpolis of the Republic of Tatarstan with the Japanese company K.K. Mirai Genomics (about which Google knows only that an agreement has just been signed with this company by Pharmedopolis of the Republic of Tatarstan) on "localization in Tatarstan of the production of devices for rapid genetic diagnosis of infectious diseases lifering".

It was explained to journalists that this very lifering (in fact, usually the name "circle of life" or "ring of life" is worn by groups for the treatment of alcoholism and drug addiction, like Alcoholics Anonymous) acts like this: "The doctor uses a disposable tampon (something like a cotton swab) to take a smear sample from the nasopharynx the patient is placed in a chip (a small box), which, in turn, is sent to the machine for automatic analysis."

It is reported that "now there is no mass production of such equipment in the world." But in Tatarstan, devices and chips themselves will be produced, and Japanese investments in this business will amount to "about 2.5 billion rubles."

In general, a decisive innovation, there's no arguing. How is it now? Suppose you have a fever, your head is splitting, your muscles are aching, your joints are turning out, sandpaper is working in your throat – and you are trudging to an appointment at your home clinic to grate: "Doctor, I seem to have the flu" ... And the doctor, looking through, habitually writes "ARVI". And although prescribing from this "ARVI" is about the same as treating the flu, but it's not recommended to write directly that you have the flu – this is not recommended by the authorities. Because it probably entails additional tests, this, that... and most importantly, deterioration of medical statistics, because the flu is serious.

And here is a completely different matter. You open your mouth wider – you get your well-deserved "flu" in the medical record ... and the treatment is about the same as for "ARVI". Do you feel better right away?

In short, this is a great help in the confrontation with the domestic health care, which usually agrees to diagnose you with "flu" except posthumously…

And as a result of the application of the Japanese miracle, as the "Pharmedopolis RT" is encouraging, already "at the first stage of the project in the republic, the mortality from influenza will be reduced by 200-400 people"!

Such a forecast, of course, causes great joy, but also alarm: if this mortality can be reduced by hundreds of people "already at the first stage" – how many people are dying now in Tatarstan's advanced healthcare every year from the banal flu?!

Just don't worry too much (this is risky, because no unknown foreign company has yet promised us miracle devices for heart attack and acute mental disorder against the background of fright). Calm down, breathe deeply: According to the Ministry of Health of Tatarstan, for the entire last epidemiological period of 2018-2019, 19 thousand cases of ARVI and 13 cases of influenza were registered throughout the republic. Fortunately, none of these cases ended in death…

So the reduction of mortality from influenza, which has been at zero in the republic for a long time, is really a miracle!

...Now – about the probable motives of the promised localization of the production of "lifering" in Tatarstan.

In particular, what is particularly attractive about this for the Japanese? It can be considered that the determining factor here is the fact that traditionally encourages companies from countries with developed economies to place their production in the territories of other states: the relative cheapness of production resources in these territories - in particular, the cheapness of labor. And in this case, the difference in wages is really striking. In Japan, the average salary of a worker, translated into Russian money, is about 190 thousand rubles. And the official average salary in Tatarstan is just over 36 thousand rubles… As you can see, a native, Tatarstan worker can cost a Japanese company at least five times cheaper than he would have to pay his own.

However, this is not the main thing. There is another circumstance that is no less (if not more) attractive to the manufacturer of the product, which, let us recall, is not mass-produced anywhere in the world.

After all, as the director of "PharMedOpolis RT" stated, in Tatarstan, "at the first stage, all polyclinics, hospitals, ambulances, as well as other healthcare institutions will be equipped with lifering devices for free (at the expense of the budget). Diagnostics will be free for citizens – at the expense of the CHI fund."

Thus, a completely new product for the medical market immediately receives a unique advantage for such products: a guarantee of immediate sale. And even without significant transportation costs, right at the place of production. And the buyer is the most disciplined and trouble–free - budget…

And what does Tatarstan get from this – except, of course, getting the budget hooked on permanent purchases? Well, what about the credit in the rating of investment attractiveness?!

However, there is somehow not enough money in our budget for traditional medical care for seriously ill residents of the republic, medicines for both adults and children have to be knocked out of their native authorities every now and then through months of court battles… Well, it's nothing, but we will have a magical "ring of life"!
