Two stripes are not halal!

Express tests were delivered to Tatarstan to check meatIA REGNUM
In Kazan– another victory of reason over the forces of darkness: the first batches of express tests to check meat for halal have arrived in the republic.

Now every Muslim who is concerned about observing the rules of piety – the purity of minced meat, for example, will be able to check for a few minutes: is there pork there?

The method of determination itself was developed quite a long time ago, but it was not adapted for use in Muslim everyday life. Not every follower of Islam has enough patience and the ability to carry out chromatographic analysis every time in a store or on the market. No special knowledge is required to conduct a new test: immunospecific antibodies reacting to proteins contained in pork meat have already been applied to the piece of paper. A similar method is used in a pregnancy test, only there, not minced meat hydrolysate is taken for analysis, but female urine.

In the express test for "pure halal", one color strip should appear on the paper. This will mean that there are no pork proteins in the product. If two strips appear, then a Muslim cannot eat the product, and the manufacturer, who indicated that the meat is halal, has every chance of losing his license and being forever branded with shame by fellow believers.

According to representatives of the Halal Standard Committee at the Duma of the Republic of Tatarstan, which has the exclusive right to issue a conformity mark in Tatarstan with subsequent certification of products at the Test-Tatarstan center, the problem is becoming more urgent every day. The head of the Committee, Dinar Sadykov, says that there are often fakes on the market of Muslim food products today. Because in Tatarstan, pork meat is often cheaper than beef. The appearance of an excellent express test will allow you to catch fakes "at the start", that is, without leaving the counter or right in the restaurant. It is enough to have a little water and a bottle with you to hold a suspicious piece there.

Unfortunately, the high cost of tests produced by a well-known Russian company still prevents providing every Muslim of the republic with a sufficient number of tools. The price is high – about 250 rubles for one analysis. Nevertheless, they decided to implement and promote the development. We even managed to release a story about the innovation on one of the local TV channels. "Because a real Muslim needs it after all,– Sadykov says. – But not today. Because it's still expensive." By the way, the Halal Standard Committee at the Duma of the Republic of Tatarstan controls only about 20 major Russian manufacturers so far... And it is unknown whether it will be possible to cover everything? This means that there is still a high risk for two strips.
