Biosensory technologies of molecular diagnostics for personalized medicine

The project of the NPP "Center for Advanced Technologies" "Biosensory technologies of molecular diagnostics for personalized medicine" was recognized as meeting the criteria of the Regulations on awarding the status of a participant in the project of the innovation center "Skolkovo", the press service of the NPP reports. The project was approved by an independent commission of experts.

One of the most important tasks of modern instrumentation has been and remains the creation of a new generation of biosensors that will be able to perform high-precision biochemical analysis of any liquid media at a level inaccessible to most available techniques. This direction is of particular importance in relation to practical medicine.

In addition, there is a great objective need to conduct rapid tests in domestic and field conditions in order to early diagnose such rapidly developing pathologies as stroke, heart attack, heart failure and many others.

The Center for Advanced Technologies offers a unique technology for creating highly sensitive biosensors capable of conducting continuous high-precision qualitative and quantitative analysis of substances in liquids in real time. We believe that the successful development and subsequent practical application of devices based on such sensors will change the whole face of modern medicine.

Comment by the head of the company "Center for Advanced Technologies", Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Igor Vladimirovich Yaminsky:

"This is a great success of young and talented graduates of the Faculty of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and the Faculty of Materials Sciences of Lomonosov Moscow State University, who work in our company. An example when theses and PhD works are translated into real and useful projects. Biomedicine is a new, breakthrough direction; while for young scientists and engineers Skolkovo is a chance to realize their potential in Russia."

The launch of the devices into mass production is planned in the first half of 2014.
