Open Innovations Expo

Russian and foreign innovative developments at the exhibition
Open Innovations Expo within the framework of the Open Innovations Forum

MSKIT.ruA large-scale exposition of the latest technological achievements of Russian and foreign companies is presented at the Open Innovations Expo, which takes place within the framework of the Open Innovations Forum in Technopolis Moscow.

The exhibition centers on stands of leading Russian development institutes; 19 regions of Russia and innovative projects of companies from the partner country of the Forum of the People's Republic of China are presented at the Open Innovations Expo. The startup zone presents young companies for whom participation in the Exhibition is a potential opportunity to attract investors to the implementation of projects.

The co-founder of the Zdravprint project presented in the startup zone, Fedor Aptekaryov, hopes to complete the certification process of the company's developed individual means of immobilization for fractures – bioplastics orthoses in the near future. "All this is made of polylactide, that is, it is corn in the source," says Fedor Aptekarev. - "If our orthosis is buried in the ground, it will decompose into water and carbon within six months." But this is not the only advantage of the Zdravprint technology, some of the company's products are ten times cheaper than analogues made using traditional technologies.

Among other interesting startup projects presented at the Exhibition is the development of the Russian-Chinese company WaLiMai. This is a mobile application for combating counterfeit products, which is a marketing solution using RFID/NFS technology.

The Tespack Solar Smartpacks project, created by innovators from Finland and Bolivia, presented rechargeable batteries that are characterized by lightness, efficiency and innovative design. They are powered by solar energy and ensure that the device will never run out of battery. The French company DAIP Depolution of Indoor Air by Photocatalysis demonstrates paints and coatings made using photochemical catalysis technology. This paint eliminates indoor air pollution. The Chinese project Zhuhai Yunzhou Intelligence Technology Ltd. is developing an unmanned vessel capable of swimming independently, avoiding obstacles and performing a number of tasks without human intervention. The Russian project "PILGRIM XXI" presents an augmented reality mobile application in the startup zone of the Exhibition, which, according to the co-founder of the project Diana Sorina, will allow tourists to see the past.

Visitors of the Open Innovations Expo traditionally pay special attention to technologies in the field of healthcare. The development of Cardio-Control LLC, a prototype of a sports T-shirt with an integrated heart monitor, is presented at the stand of the Foundation for the Promotion of Small Forms of Enterprises in the Scientific and Technical Field. "These T–shirts are not used for fitness, but in the practice of a medical specialist when he prescribes so-called daily monitoring to a patient," says Evgeny Leonov, Technical director of Cardio-Control LLC. – "Our T-shirts make it convenient to wear a heart monitor. To start using such T-shirts in practice, we must certify them as a medical device. Now we are trying to get a grant from Skolkovo to conduct clinical trials on the basis of MONIKA and the GNITS of Practical Medicine." Another unique medical development is presented at the Skolkovo stand – a system for restoring and maintaining the viability of donor organs, which has no analogues in the world. Together with RUSNANO, InBioMed-2014 has developed a laser perforator for non-contact finger puncture presented at the RUSNANO stand. It is intended for taking samples of capillary blood in medical and preventive institutions.

A unique bioprinter for organ printing was developed by the laboratory of biotechnological research "3D Bioprinting Solutions". The exposition of the laboratory immediately became the focus of attention of visitors to the Exhibition. "Our laboratory has existed since 2013, it is the only one in Russia that has its own commercial bioprinter of original design and design, develops organ bioprinting technology and has its own technology," says Yulia Smirnova, head of the laboratory's marketing department. – "According to our data, only 16 companies in the world are developing this technology. The hyper-goal of our laboratory is to create a complex organ, for example, such as a human kidney. By 2015, we expect to create a thyroid gland by bioprinting."

The company "Art-Line Engineering" works together with the Holding company "Composite". The exhibition presents a racing car designed and manufactured by Art-Line Engineering. "This is a champion car, it was produced in 2010. On it, our pilots have already won the German Cup twice in Formula 3. A new modification will be released in two months. And she will also participate in the Formula 3 Euroseries. Composite materials provide strength and rigidity of the structure and low weight, which is very important for achieving high speed," says Anastasia Gritsenko, a representative of the company. – "This car is part of the manufacturer's team, but after the 2015 season we expect other teams to be interested in the car, which may want to have a Russian–made car in their fleet. There are only two offers for such cars in the world right now, this is a Russian manufacturer and an Italian one."

The central place in the exposition of the PRC, the partner country of the Open Innovations Forum, is occupied by the stand of the leading manufacturer of telecommunications equipment Huawei and CSR QINGDAO SIFANG Co., LTD., which produces railway equipment. According to the representative of the company Wang Face, high-speed electric trains of the new generation, which are being created with the support of the Chinese National R&D Program for the development of key technologies, are already actively operated in China. The CRH380 electric train, for example, can consist of 8 or 16 cars and reach a speed of 250 km/h. Another Chinese company represented at the Exhibition – the Jiangsu Province Nuclear Power Corporation of the National Nuclear Corporation of China (NNCC) – shows a scale model of eight power units of the Tianwan NPP at the Open Innovations Expo. This project is the basis for Chinese-Russian technological cooperation in the field of nuclear energy. The Institute of Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences presents a scalable technology for the manufacture of hybrid silica nanoparticles and roller coating technology for the preparation of anti-reflective nanocoating on glass.

The Open Innovations Expo exhibition presents collective expositions of 19 regions of Russia, including the Altai Territory, Astrakhan, Voronezh, Kaluga, Lipetsk, Omsk, Penza Regions, the Republic of Mordovia, Samara Region, Tyumen Region and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug. A unique hardware complex for expanding human physical capabilities (pneumoexoskeleton), first presented at the Kaluga Region stand, operates on the basis of the use of pneumatic muscles. The INTEGRA-S consortium from Samara presents the Integra-Planet-4D integration platform, which combines all security systems into a single geoinformation system. The Astrakhan region presented at the Exhibition an ultra-compact electric transformer Bravo eGo, the production of which should begin in 2014. Another relevant development in the field of medicine is presented by Omsk State Technical University – a multi-format network for the exchange of biomedical data "CARDIONICS". The project provides for: a special system for applying ECG electrodes, which allows using the Cardionics monitor without the participation of doctors, obtaining a standard ECG in 12 leads, an ergonomic design of the monitor in the form of a corset without wires and disposable electrodes.
