And they are not even being developed by school students yet. Graduate Irina Trapeznikova recently created a real scientific sensation.
Irina Trapeznikova is a graduate of the Lyceum at Bauman Moscow State Technical University. It took her a whole year to make the impossible possible. Shoveled mountains of scientific literature. I tried, I was wrong, I tried again. As a result, a device for rapid blood analysis with a complex name - an ectacytometer – was born. Similar devices already exist. But they are expensive and cumbersome, and it takes several days for research. The same setup produces results in a matter of minutes. In addition, she is petite, light and ingeniously simple.

A simple-looking device performs a complex task. Determines the elasticity of red blood cells – the main indicator of healthy cells. One drop is enough. And a couple of simple manipulations.
To decipher the footage, Irina created a special computer program. It is she who reads the video and analyzes the indicators.
If the red corpuscles have passed the speed test and stretched out into an ellipse, the blood is normal, if not, pathology is possible. For example, prerequisites for thrombosis, diabetes mellitus or oncology. The results were not immediately pleasing, says Irina. At the finish line there were doubts about the accuracy of the data.

Almost two dozen diplomas and awards. In May, she brought a bronze medal from Houston. And a week ago, a talented graduate was noted in the State Duma. The prize was awarded at the conference "Young technicians and inventors". As a birthday present. June 23 – she turned 18. The device created by Irina became interested in medical circles and in Skolkovo. They even called me to work at the science city. And the lyceum is proud of her.
Irina has already managed to graduate from music school, get the third adult category in biathlon. Likes to take pictures. However, physics is still out of competition. She has a lot of plans ahead of her. He speaks about his cherished dream with irony: I would like to receive the Nobel Prize.
It is still unknown whether Irina Trapeznikova will be on the same list with Maria Skladovskaya-Curie. Now her task is much more modest – to go to university. And there, who knows...
