Russian-Chinese venture fund may sign first projects soon
The Russian-Chinese Investment Fund (RCIF) and the Chinese company Tus-Holdings have agreed to establish a joint Russian-Chinese venture fund (RCIF), which will contribute to the development of the potential of trade, economic, investment, scientific and technical cooperation of the Russian Federation and China.
The corresponding agreement was signed today during a meeting of the Russian-Chinese advisory committee of entrepreneurs.
According to the agreements reached, the target size of the RCIF is set to $ 100 million, it can be increased as necessary, the RCIF and Tus-Holdings will act as its anchor investors. Other institutional investors from Russia and China.
RKVF will focus on finding attractive investment opportunities among high-tech companies and startups in Russia with the potential for further development in the PRC market, including such areas as information technology in the financial sector, big data, cloud technologies, biotechnology, biomedicine, clean energy sources, new materials, smart manufacturing (including robotics) and data transmission.

Russian-Chinese Investment Fund (RCIF) – a joint fund of the Russian Direct Investment Fund and the Chinese Investment Corporation (CIC). The RCIF's activities are aimed at developing bilateral economic, trade and investment relations between Russia and China. The amount of funds under the management of the RCIF is $ 2 billion.
