A set for studying the technology of the EduExo Pro exoskeleton.

After a successful fundraising campaign held last year on Kickstarter, the Swiss developer Auxivo AG launched the EduExo Pro educational kit on the market. The purpose of the kit is to help researchers, teachers, students and participants of robotics circles to understand the technologies of the exoskeleton.

Commercial and military models of exoskeletons are quite expensive, and students of engineering and IT specialties do not have many opportunities to get to know this technology industry closely, in practice. The task of EduExo Pro exoskeleton kit is to correct the situation.

The set includes supporting metal parts of the exoskeleton, a size-adjustable textile vest interface for connecting to the torso and arm, joints for joints, decorative plastic pads, a potentiometer for measuring the angle of the elbow joint, a servo motor and a spring to facilitate movements of the elbow joint under load, as well as an electromyographic sensor for reading muscle activity and a programmable Arduino microcontroller — to manage it all.

"The main objective of the development of EduExo Pro was to create an exciting training system using advanced exoskeleton technologies, while keeping its price within the limits of accessibility for universities and schools," said Dr. Volker Bartenbach, CEO of Auxivo AG.

EduExo Pro is already available in the Auxivo online store for 1590 Swiss francs.
