Play Cell Biologist

The CellCraft game ("Building a Cell" or "Learning to work with a Cell"), created by a group of programmers and designers of the same name as part of the Digital Media and Learning Competition project, teaches children and adults the basics of cell biology in an accessible form.

The game is similar to the strategy and game genre "tower defense", in which the player protects the fortress from enemies. The cell under the guidance of the player will have to search for resources, evolve and repel virus attacks.

In addition to the toy itself, an encyclopedia is included in the program – with instructions for players and a popular (and sometimes not so popular, as in this picture) presentation of the basics of biology of unicellular organisms.

The developers promise to post the game code in open access (open source) in a few weeks and publish additions to the first version – follow the information on the CellCraft website!

There you can also play CellCraft online, and if you want (the authors don't mind), download the game for yourself or for posting on your own website (*.exe, 13M, no viruses :)
