Russian scientists have created a gadget that relieves pain and muscle spasm in a few minutes with the help of sound stimulation, the press service of the NTI platform, the organizer of the Archipelago 2022 intensive, told RIA Novosti. "The MurQ portable device eliminates pain due to vibroacoustic therapy technology. Frequency fluctuations of 20-50 Hz have analgesic and antispasmodic effect, which relieves muscle pain and muscle spasm. To do this, the device must be applied for a few minutes to the area of the body. The project will be presented at the Archipelago 2022 design and educational intensive," the message reads.
It is specified that to eliminate the pain, the device must be used for about 10 minutes. However, a significant reduction in pain occurs already in the first minute of use.
"Vibroacoustic therapy is based on sound stimulation of muscles with low frequencies. Sound waves of a frequency of 20-50 Hz penetrate into the tissues of the human body, blocking the transmission of pain impulses to the brain and spinal cord, eliminating muscle spasm. When used, a person feels a soft relaxing vibration, which, at an apparent low intensity, spreads deep in the body in warm waves," the message explains.
