In Spain, they came up with the idea of sending dog excrement to their owners

<url>The Spanish municipality of Brunete, which is part of the province of Madrid, reported on the results of the campaign to combat the spread of dog excrement.

According to the authors of the initiative launched in early 2013, the amount of dog waste in the settlement decreased by 70 percent, Europa Press reports.

According to available information, the idea to conduct a campaign against irresponsible owners arose at the end of 2012. Then the residents of Brunete turned to an advertising agency to help them develop the concept of the program. At the same time, the local council warned that no money would be allocated from the budget for the campaign. Nevertheless, the agency liked the idea so much that it agreed to work for free.

At the first stage of the campaign, an artificial radio-controlled dog feces on wheels drove behind the owners of dogs and demanded to take it with them. After that, the amount of uncollected excrement decreased significantly, but then it began to increase again. Then it was decided to move on to the second phase of the campaign.

During the second part of the dog waste management program, volunteers joined the company. They followed the owners who did not clean up after their pets, approached them, asked for the dog's name and recognized its breed. Based on these data, the volunteers received information about their owners from the database of dogs living in Brunet.

After that, the dog feces of one or another dog was collected, packed in a box and taken to the address of its owner. The box and the warning about the fine were handed over personally.

After the campaign was completed, the city authorities announced that it was successful. The agency that invented it received a prize at a profile exhibition.
