A coordinating council for the development of biotechnologies was established under the Government
Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree on the establishment of a coordinating council for the development of biotechnologies, the corresponding document was published on the official Internet portal of legal information on Tuesday.
"The Government of the Russian Federation decides to form a coordinating council under the Government of the Russian Federation for the development of biotechnologies," the document says.
According to the document, the main tasks of the council are to discuss the problems and practices of implementing measures for the development of biotechnologies, ensuring the interaction of federal state authorities, preparation, consideration and expert evaluation of proposals related to the development and practical use of biotechnologies, the development of the biotechnological industry.
