The first forum of young biotechnologists was held in the science city of Koltsovo

In addition to theoretical knowledge about biotechnologies, the young participants also received practical knowledge, having been on excursions to the Vector Museum, the Vector-BIALGAMA production building and innovative companies of the business incubator. During the game "Bioconstructor", young researchers created a new animal "nepo", which according to legend should live in the desert.
As already reported by 54novosti.According to Sergey Netesov, Vice-rector for Research at NSU, the problem of the shortage of specialists in the field of biotechnology in Novosibirsk is quite acute: only a third of the employees of biopharmaceutical enterprises in the science city of Koltsovo and Akademgorodok have a specialized education. At the same time, most workers are 50 years old, so after a while they will need a shift. For this reason, NSU, together with the Koltsovo Biotechnopark, plans to introduce a master's degree in the direction of "Biotechnology" from 2015. In this context, the first forum of young biotechnologists can be the start of systematic training of specialists.
