HR agency for Biotech launched in Russia

In April 2015, graduates of the Faculty of Bioengineering and Bioinformatics of Moscow State University Yuri Pekov and Vita Stepanova launched the Blastim website – Russia's first online platform for job search in the field of biotech. The platform is a strategic partner of Future Biotech, which is engaged in the integration and development of the Russian biotech community.
The new resource publishes vacancies from biotech companies and scientific positions from laboratories in the field of bioinformatics and "wet" biology. The project also performs the functions of an HR agency and partially selects candidates for a particular position by itself.
In addition, there is a section on the site that contains up-to-date information about upcoming courses and conferences on bioinformatics, as well as where to get an education in this scientific field.
The mission of the project is "to increase the connectivity of the industry and help scientists see that they are in demand not only in neighboring laboratories," Yuri Pekov told Rusbase.
