However, most of the residents interviewed by RIA Novosti do not "recognize" a macromolecule in the drawing, taking it for an image of sheep, noodles, tires and other objects.
Gabriel Specter first arrived in Vladivostok at the end of May, where on June 1 he started creating graffiti on the wall in the square of the "Twin Cities". According to the artist's idea, the abstract version of the human DNA chromosome depicted by him symbolizes similar moments of development and unity of different peoples. The drawing project was approved by the Mayor of Vladivostok Igor Pushkarev.
At the same time, not all residents of Vladivostok immediately understood what the author wanted to say with the drawing.
"I do not know what it is, but, in my opinion, this drawing looks like images of a cluster of sheep. I think this is an original, but a little strange picture," one of the interviewed residents of Vladivostok, who was passing next to the painted wall, told RIA Novosti.
A RIA Novosti correspondent interviewed about 10 more passers-by, but none of them "recognized" the DNA model in the drawing. "I read on the Internet that they draw the DNA structure here, but to be honest, I wouldn't have guessed that it was her. Rather, it resembles some kind of rope ... or noodles. Although the drawing is cute," said one of the respondents.
Other residents and guests of Vladivostok interviewed by RIA Novosti "identified" ice cream, whipped cream, telephone wire, car tires, a baby spring, a hair band, curlers and even a bull's chain in the drawing.
