Elemento

A fourteen-year-old teenager named Anshul Samar has created his own board card game called Elementeo, writes Wired.

The author suggests that two or more players unleash a real chemical war to find out which of them knows chemistry better. Currently, Anshul Samar is actively looking for partners who would help establish mass production of a new game.

There are 121 cards in the Elementeo deck. Each of them represents some kind of chemical compound, a separate element or a catalyst. All maps have a detailed description of the elements, as well as chemical properties and possible applications for complex compounds. The degree of oxidation of the element affects the attacking power of the card, and the aggregate state affects movement on the field.

Having received $500 at his disposal from the California Association for Gifted Schoolchildren (California Association for the Gifted), Samar created a prototype of Elementeo for two players, which made a positive impression on the visitors of the TiEcon 2007 conference.

At the moment, you can pre-order this project on the official website. It is expected that Elementeo will go on sale at the end of April this year. Buyers will receive two decks of cards with elements, a deck with connections, as well as an alchemical deck, a playing field and special cubes. The approximate cost of this set is $25.
