A gastroenterologist explained why you can't "cleanse the liver"

Galina Dudareva, a gastroenterologist, is convinced that in order to achieve a quick effect in improving liver health, one should not resort to extreme methods, such as cleansing enemas and drips. According to her, such procedures not only do not bring the expected result, but are also an unnecessary waste of money, as they are based on false ideas about liver cleansing. As the gastroenterologist emphasizes, there is simply no scientific basis for the concept of "cleansing the liver".

Instead of looking for quick solutions, Galina Dudareva advises to focus on a healthy diet and lifestyle. She recommends including lean meats, fish, vegetables, and avoiding fried and fatty foods in your diet. The importance of consuming the right fats is also emphasized by Dudareva, especially focusing on unrefined vegetable oil.

In addition, the gastroenterologist suggests paying attention to dishes from beef heart, rich in B vitamins and iron, which are essential for good health. The intake of carbohydrates should also be controlled, consuming them in small portions and preferably before four o'clock in the afternoon.

Dudareva emphasizes the importance of physical activity in maintaining the health of the liver and the body as a whole. Regular 30-40 minutes of brisk walking per day can have a significant positive impact on overall health after the festive periods.
