WHO has named a condition under which the coronavirus vaccine will be useless
Vaccination is effective only when it is carried out everywhere, the head said World Health Organization Tedros Adanom Ghebreyesus. A video of his speech was published on the WHO YouTube channel.
Gebreyesus urged all countries not to postpone vaccination, as otherwise new strains of coronavirus will appear.
"In this case, the vaccines that we used may become useless," the official warned.
He stressed that the lack of drugs in developing countries will create problems for rich countries as well. Therefore, Gebreyesus called on the authorities to explain to their citizens that in order to protect against the virus, it is necessary to vaccinate not only them, but residents of the countries of the "rest of the world".
