According to a survey conducted by specialists from the University of Michigan, the majority of patients in the United States are satisfied with their attending physicians and the prescribed treatment.

The survey was conducted online in 2004-2010, when about 15 thousand patients were able to evaluate the work of doctors on a 10-point scale. In order to avoid tampering with the results, the patient had the right to vote for each specialist 1 time in 3 months.

According to the results of the study published in the journal "Health Outcomes Research and Medicine", the average score for the work of all doctors was 9.28 points. The maximum possible 10 points were given to their doctors by 70.1% of respondents. 15.3% of respondents rated the work of specialists at 9 points. The group of patients who scored 0-1 was less than 2%.

Rajesh Balkrishnan, the head of the study, noted that the highest ratings were given by patients of the older age group, as well as those who spent less time waiting for an appointment (for example, in the case of a queue) and whose communication with the doctor lasted long enough.
