From October 6 to 8, a Science Festival will be held in Moscow
From October 6 to 8, 2017, Moscow will host the main scientific event of the year – the VII All-Russian and XII Moscow Science Festival NAUKA0+ 2017.
This is one of the largest Russian projects in the field of popularization of science and technology. The main events will unfold in Moscow and at three regional venues in Samara, Salekhard and Vladivostok. More than 80 regions of Russia will take part in the science festival. Traditionally, the festival is organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation with the support of Lomonosov Moscow State University and The Government of Moscow.
The events of the XII Moscow Festival will be held at 90 venues. The central venues of the NAUKA0+ Festival are the Fundamental Library of Moscow State University and the Shuvalov Building of Moscow State University. The central exhibition area is Expocentre Fairgrounds on Krasnaya Presnya. Also, the Festival events will be held in more than 90 universities, museums and research centers in Moscow, which will open their doors to those who want to touch science.
The Festival program is designed for the widest audience without age restrictions and this year includes almost 2,000 unique events. The most significant of them are lectures by young scientists, laureates of the state prizes of the Russian Federation, eminent foreign scientists, Nobel laureates, fascinating scientific shows, scientific discussions about the future of mankind, screenings of relevant educational films, the largest interactive popular science exhibition, teleconferences with the ISS, the Antarctic Station, CERN and much more.
