Gennady Onishchenko knows who benefits flu-ridden Russians
The former chief sanitary doctor of the Russian Federation – assistant to the Prime Minister of Russia Gennady Onishchenko told who is trying to disrupt the vaccination of the population against influenza. In his opinion, these are, first of all, pharmaceutical companies, religious communities and foreign organizations.
In an interview with RSN radio, Onishchenko said: "it is known for certain that some pharmaceutical companies order special, biased reports on the harmfulness of vaccinations, conduct intimidating events."
"This is explained by the following: if people get sick less, they will buy medicines less," Onishchenko explained.
In addition, the former chief sanitary doctor of Russia named various religious and foreign organizations among those who actively oppose vaccination.
"All kinds of sects take a categorically negative position (on the issue of vaccination of the population). I do not exclude the work of foreign organizations, because who needs healthy people in Russia? This is a repeatedly established fact. But, nevertheless, 40 million people will be vaccinated this year," Onishchenko is sure.
Currently, vaccination of the population is actively carried out in all regions of Russia. Earlier, experts made a forecast that the flu epidemic is not far off.
