Pharmacogenetics has reached Yakutia
MIP NEFU "Genodiagnostics" is developing a program on pharmacogenetics
"The use of the software tool we are developing will make it possible to popularize the principles of personalized medicine in the clinical practice of healthcare institutions, thereby increasing the effectiveness of therapy and reducing the frequency of undesirable adverse reactions, as well as reducing the cost of expensive medicines. The developed software product will reduce the time and labor costs of employees, and as a result, will increase the efficiency of their work," says Nadezhda Maksimova, director of the enterprise, head of the educational and scientific laboratory "Genomic Medicine" of NEFU.According to scientists, the program will automatically issue conclusions based on the results of pharmacogenetic testing of 21 drugs of 11 pharmacological groups: statins, beta-blockers, anticoagulants of indirect action, antiplatelet agents, antidepressants, proton pump inhibitors, non-narcotic analgesics, antitumor agents, immunosuppressants, antifungal agents, antiarrhythmic drugs.
The software tool is intended for a wide range of specialists: clinical pharmacologists, medical geneticists, therapists, cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, neurologists, psychiatrists, oncologists, hematologists, transplantologists, infectious disease specialists, pediatricians, gastroenterologists, laboratory diagnostics specialists and health care organizers.
The project is supported by a grant from the federal target program "Research and development in priority areas of development of the scientific and technological complex of Russia for 2014-2020".
