Speaking at the opening ceremony, the rector of MIPT Nikolay Kudryavtsev said: "This is a special conference, exactly 50 years ago the physicists' journey into medicine began – the Department of Physics of Living Systems was created. It is incredible that half a century ago it was possible to foresee the future of medicine development so much. Holding such conferences gives Phys Tech an opportunity to be in the center of an active movement, where a lot of new ideas are generated, new contacts are made, which will become the basis for future breakthroughs, discoveries, and high scientific achievements."
