Prospects for the development of bioeconomics
Scientific and practical achievements in the field of biotechnology are presented by the 8th International Biotechnology Forum-exhibition "RosBioTech-2014", which started on October 27, 2014 at the Expocenter.
Modern bioindustry determines the level of scientific, technical and socio-economic development of countries, is the basis for ensuring the health of the nation and economic recovery.
"Public discussions of topical issues in the field of biotechnology, as well as demonstration of the achievements of the bioindustry contribute to the definition of strategic directions for the development of bioeconomics in Russia," Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich said in a welcoming address to the forum–exhibition "RosBioTech-2014".
Within the framework of the forum-exhibition "RosBioTech-2014" more than 200 companies from Armenia, Germany, China, Russia, the USA, the Czech Republic demonstrate advanced industrial and biomedical technologies, materials and preparations, equipment and machinery for industry, agriculture, medicine, food industry and many other industries.
Among the participants of "RosBioTech-2014" are the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the International Fund of Biotechnologies. Academician I.N. Blokhina, BIOMAK Consortium, Rosagrobioprom, Bioprocess, Modern Technological Lines, Koltsovo Innovation Center, Dagestan State Medical Academy, Far Eastern Federal University and others.
The forum will discuss topical issues of the development of the green economy, the agro-industrial complex, the problems of functional nutrition, innovative methods of treatment of socially significant diseases, active longevity and many other important topics.
The competition program "RosBioTech-2014" includes a competition for innovative developments and projects in the field of biotechnology, a competition for projects of young scientists, a competition of the International Environmental Foundation and a competition of the I.N. Blokhina International Biotechnology Foundation.
The forum and exhibition are organized by NP "Innovatika", the Association "ROSMEDPROM", NP Consortium "BIOMAK", the International Fund of Biotechnologies named after I.N. Blokhina with the support of government agencies and departments, trade unions.
RosBioTech-2014 is open on October 27-28 in Pavilion No. 8 (Hall 4 – "Colonnade") Expocentre Fairgrounds.
