The Ministry of Health warns in pictures

In the USA, they chose frightening images for cigarette packs
Copper newsThe US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has determined the final list of frightening images that will become mandatory elements of the design of cigarette packs, according to the website of the office.

As noted, the introduction of such images will be the first change in the style of warnings in more than 25 years and "is a significant progress in informing about the dangers of smoking."

Earlier, the FDA specialists developed 36 variants of graphic warnings for printing on packs of tobacco products. These warnings are photographs and drawings depicting the negative effects of smoking: tumors, tracheostomy, etc.

According to the US Department of Health, about 443,000 Americans die annually from smoking-related diseases. Smokers are 20.6 percent of U.S. adults (46 million people), including 19.5 percent of American university students.
