The new status will help the development of the pharmaceutical cluster

St. Petersburg can get the status of an innovative region, which is necessary for the further development of the pharmaceutical cluster being created in our city.

This issue was discussed yesterday at the meeting of the coordinating council for cluster development, which took place within the framework of the IV International Innovation Forum. The meeting was attended by the Governor of St. Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko.

He noted that the development of the pharmaceutical cluster is of great importance for the city. The city government will continue to provide medical and pharmaceutical companies entering the St. Petersburg market with assistance and support in business development.

The governor supported the idea of giving the city the status of an innovative region and instructed the relevant committees to create a working group for a detailed study of the issue.

During the formation of the pharmaceutical cluster in St. Petersburg, 13 projects have already been initiated with a total investment of more than 29 billion rubles. More than two thousand jobs will be created in St. Petersburg to ensure their activities, the Administration of St. Petersburg reports.
