Training of personnel in priority areas of economic development of the Russian FederationBFKS
On September 26, 2011 Oleg Korzinov, President of the Non-profit Partnership "Center for Innovative Development of the Biopharmaceutical Cluster "Severny", took part in a meeting of the Commission under the President of the Russian Federation on Modernization and Technological Development of the Russian Economy, dedicated to the training and further employment of highly qualified engineering personnel in priority areas of economic development.
The meeting of the Commission was held under the leadership of the President of the Russian Federation D. A. Medvedev in Dimitrovgrad, Ulyanovsk region. Oleg Korzinov presented a report to the Commission, which spoke about the practical solution of the tasks set by the President, in particular, about the active interaction of the organizations of the BFC "Severny" with the leading technical university of the country — the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT, Dolgoprudny, Moscow region).
An extensive program of cooperation aimed primarily at creating a belt of small innovative enterprises (MIP) around MIPT in order to transfer and further commercialize the results of research and R&D in the industry, includes the training of entrepreneurial personnel in the direction of "Medical technology and Pharmaceuticals".
In fact, a new model of interaction based on the University of Applied Science and high-tech business was demonstrated. The absence of entrepreneurs on the labor market who are able to develop innovative projects in the field of "living systems" is today a limiting factor in the development of innovative pharmaceuticals, which prompted the leadership of the Biopharmaceutical Cluster to begin their systematic training at MIPT.
To this end, at the beginning of 2011, an experimental educational and practical module "Innovative entrepreneurship for the "real violent"" was specially developed and then successfully implemented. The next step was the opening of a new type of department, where students will be able to conduct research work in organized corporate laboratories and train in high-tech startups of the Severny Biopharmaceutical Cluster.
Oleg Korzinov, President of NP "BFCS Development Center": "Obtaining the status of a national research center at MIPT gave a powerful impetus to applied research in various fields of knowledge and the creation of new laboratories. In 2010, the Northern Biopharmaceutical Cluster was created on the basis of MIPT, whose task is to develop the level of applied research and implement their results in the pharmaceutical industry. With the advent of a specialized department, Biopharmaceutical Cluster organizations, in fact, become basic organizations of a new type that not only set requirements for the qualifications of graduates at a new industrial level, but are also ready to participate in the educational process, transferring the best experience in their areas of competence. Such mutually beneficial cooperation, as a result, will contribute to the emergence of new projects and companies in the field of innovative pharmaceuticals and biotechnologies, as well as to the development of MIPT in the direction of "living systems", as is now happening all over the world in elite technological universities and institutes."
