Russia has developed a cream for regeneration of damaged skin
An emollient cream with a regenerating effect on atopic, dry skin has been developed at the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University of the Russian Ministry of Health. This is the oldest medical university in Russia, founded in 1758.
Patients with various skin diseases need special skin care products - ordinary soaps, shampoos, creams can cause deterioration of the patient's condition and even lead to exacerbation of the disease. The new cream, as its creators say, can be applied to patients even with such difficult-to-treat diseases as atopic and retinoic dermatitis, senile xerosis. The product eliminates dry skin, flaking, and helps manage itching, significantly improving patients' quality of life.
"This product is the first result of our many years of work in the field of physical colloidal chemistry, in the field of soft form technology. Fundamental research, which started more than 10 years ago, eventually led to this applied area - we managed to select a wonderful optimal base and technology and, accordingly, to create this cream," said Professor Galina Ramenskaya, Director of the A.P. Nelyubin Institute of Pharmacy. - We continue to move in this direction: we are going to release a shower gel, a cleanser and other products for dry and very dry skin. We are also preparing to release a cream for vitiligo patients, and in the future we will expand the line of creams for different skin types. In parallel, we are developing two medicines in the form of a cream for external use, which will use the same cream base and technology".
The work was conducted under the Priority 2030 strategic academic leadership program.
