Competition of innovative developments "Polyclinic of the XXI century"

The Scientific Council of Medsi Group of Companies CJSC announces the holding of the Second All-Russian Competition of innovative developments in the field of medicine "Polyclinic of the XXI century".

Competition of innovative developments in the field of pediatrics "Pediatrics of the XXI century"

1. Basic provisionsThe purpose of the competition is to identify the most promising in practical terms scientific and methodological developments in the field of pediatrics and related disciplines aimed at improving the health and quality of life of the population.



2. Terms of the competition2.1 Scientists and employees of research, educational and practical health institutions of all forms of ownership are invited to participate in the competition.

The age of the applicant must not exceed 39 years.

2.2. The Innovation Development Awards (hereinafter referred to as the awards) are awarded for the most relevant scientific research and development that have received public recognition and make a significant contribution to the development of medicine in the specialties accepted for participation in the competition. A prerequisite for participation in the competition is the practical significance of the work and readiness to implement its results into practice.

2.3. The competition is held annually.

2.4. Information about the competition is distributed through authoritative specialized medical mass media.

2.5. According to the results of the competition, prizes are awarded:
- One prize for the first place (150,000 rubles);
- Two prizes for second place (100,000 rubles each);
- Three prizes for the third place (50,000 rubles each).

3. Requirements for the works nominated for the award of prizes3.1. Completed scientific, scientific-technical and innovative developments, as well as the results of practical work having a specific innovative value (hereinafter referred to as developments) from research, educational and practical healthcare institutions of all forms of ownership (hereinafter referred to as applicants) can be put forward for participation in the competition..



3.2. The proposed developments must be reviewed and approved in advance by the scientific or scientific and technical councils of applicants, for practical healthcare institutions - by the Head of the institution.

3.3. Developments whose completion dates do not exceed two years prior to the nomination for the award are accepted for consideration.

3.4. The same author of the development cannot simultaneously submit for the award of the prize for more than one development.

3.5. The composition of the team of authors of the development, nominated for the award, is determined by the applicant, but may not exceed 5 people and should include only those persons who have made a decisive contribution to the implementation of the development.

3.6. To participate in the competition, applicants must submit the following documents (hereinafter referred to as the tender documentation):
- application form;
- an extract from the decision of the scientific or scientific and technical council of the applicant presenting the development on the support of this development for participation in the competition for awarding prizes in the field of innovation, indicating its full name and the author or the composition of the team of authors (for teams of young scientists to indicate the age of participants), signed by the chairman of the scientific or scientific and technical council and certified with a seal. For practical healthcare institutions - a referral letter signed by the Head of the institution.
- other materials contributing to a more complete disclosure of the scientific level and (or) practical value of the development.

The tender documentation of the applicant is submitted in hard copy in two copies and electronically (on a floppy disk or by e-mail) by November 15, 2008.

The results of the competition are reported to the participants of the competition within 45 days after the deadline for submitting documents. The developments that have passed the competitive selection will be presented for public defense at the final conference of the competition, after which the winners will be determined.

Competitive selection criteria: economic efficiency, the scope of use of the results of work and social significance, scientific novelty and security of the idea (patents, publications), practical value and the possibility of rapid implementation in the practical activities of outpatient healthcare institutions.
The winner of the competition is the person whose proposal according to the evaluation criteria meets the conditions of the competition as much as possible.

The date of summing up the results of the competition is December 2008. The time and venue of the final conference of the competition will be announced later.
