Coordinated EU-Russian competitions

On November 1, 2008, the Russian part of the coordinated Russia-EU competitions in the field of healthcare was announced within the framework of the Federal Target Program "Research and Development in priority areas of the development of the scientific and technological complex of Russia for 2007-2012" for event 2.7 "Conducting experimental design and experimental technological work together with foreign scientific organizations or on the subject proposed by business community" - I turn.

Topics for submitting applications:• "Comparative population-genetic study of widespread multifactorial diseases in EU/AC and Russian populations"


• "Study of molecular and cellular mechanisms of heart diseases associated with diabetes and overweight"

You can view and download the notice of the open tender and the tender documentation on the website of the Federal Agency for Science and Innovation.

Please note that only those research teams that plan to apply as part of the consortium for the EU Seventh Framework Program competitions can apply to the Federal Agency for Science and Innovation:

• HEALTH-2009-4.3.3-1: Comparative population genetic studies on multifactorial diseases
• HEALTH-2009-4.3.3-2: Mechanisms of diabetic and weight-related co-morbidity in heart failure

To date, Russian participants in European consortia can form and submit applications to the European Commission. The deadline for submitting applications for coordinated tenders under the Seventh EU Framework Program is December 3, 2008.
