NBIK-T Competition

The first competition of research project and abstract works of schoolchildren "NBIK-T"The competition is held:

• Department of Education of Moscow,
• SIC "Kurchatov Institute",
• Moscow Institute of Open Education (MIOO)
• The National Center for Continuing Natural Science Education (NCEN).

The competition accepts research, design and abstract works of schoolchildren devoted to the issues of nano-, biological, information, cognitive sciences and technologies.

NBIC is the improvement of atomic and molecular engineering technologies and the creation of materials with fundamentally new properties. These are nanopribors and nanosystems, nanosensors, nanoelements of memory and mechanical devices, functional nanoelectronics both based on known semiconductor materials and fundamentally new, for example, using carbon materials (graphene, fullerenes, nanotubes, etc.). This is the convergence and interpenetration of the inorganic and bio-organic world of wildlife, combining the capabilities of modern technologies with structures created by wildlife. This is based on the convergence, interpenetration of nano-, bio-, info-, cognitive sciences and technologies.

The questionnaires of the contest participants and abstracts of works of 3 pages are accepted by e-mail nbik2011@gmail.com until November 10, 2011 It is planned to publish a collection of abstracts.

Abstracts of papers should contain the full name of the author, the name of the educational institution, the full name of the supervisor, his position, academic degree and academic title (if any). At the end of the theses there may be a list of references.

The authors of the best works will be invited to participate in the full-time final stage of the competition, at which they will need to make a presentation.

The final of the competition (conference) and summing up its results will be held jointly by the Kurchatov Institute Research Center and the Faculty of Physics of Lomonosov Moscow State University on November 29, 2011. The final will be held in MIOO. The winners and prize-winners of the conference, as well as their scientific supervisors, will be awarded diplomas and rewarded with memorable gifts.
