The simulation center, equipped with equipment of the Kazan company "Eidos-Medicine", will open at Japan's largest medical university Juntendo on October 7, Director General of the Russian company Lenar Valeev told RIA Novosti.

"On October 7, a simulation center opens at the Juntendo Medical University in Tokyo, which we are creating as part of a partnership with the Japanese RIKEN research center. At the moment, there are seven robot simulators for laparoscopic, endovascular, hysteroscopic and endourological interventions installed there," Valeev said.

According to the CEO of Eidos-Medicine LLC, 15 simulators will be installed at the Juntendo University center by the end of this year, and the center may expand next year. The simulation robots developed and manufactured by the Kazan company serve as simulators for simulating the situation in the operating room, including preparing the patient for anesthesia, performing surgical intervention, withdrawal from anesthesia and carrying out postoperative resuscitation measures.

"The Juntendo-RIKEN Center is especially important for us because it is a test center. If it is successful, it is planned to create a whole network of similar centers in Japan, where surgeons will learn how to perform operations," Valeev said.

He added that Eidos-Medicine uses 95% domestic products - technologies, materials, components – in the production of robot simulators.

LLC "Eidos-Medicine" is the only developer and serial manufacturer of medical simulators in Russia, established in 2012, is a resident of the biomedical technologies cluster of the Skolkovo Foundation. The company is one of the top five global developers of simulation medical equipment. Currently, Eidos-Medicine produces 28 types of medical simulators for export, the equipment is installed in universities and medical centers in Russia, as well as in the USA, China, Turkey, Holland, Japan, Belarus, Kazakhstan.
