Nanobiotechnology in Dubna
New resident of the Dubna SEZ
A nanobiotechnology subcluster is being formed in the structure of the nanotechnology clusterOn April 7, an agreement was signed between the Federal Agency for the Management of Special Economic Zones (RosOEZ) and the BioGenius PLUS company on conducting technical and implementation activities on the territory of the special economic zone in Dubna.
In accordance with the agreement, the company plans to conduct scientific research in the field of biotechnology in the Dubna SEZ, develop original biotechnological solutions and technologies. According to the press service of RosOEZ, BioGenius PLUS will also be engaged in the development, manufacture and release of biological and genetically engineered medicines of a new generation, conducting preclinical and clinical trials, developing laboratory and pilot industrial regulations within the framework of Research and R&D for the pharmaceutical industry.
"It is very important which companies come to Dubna," says Alexander Ratz, head of the territorial administration of RosOEZ in the Moscow region. "Bio–Genius LLC has come. Prepares documents and expects support from Rusnano LLC Ecobiopharm, a project of the Institute of Biomedical Chemistry of the V.N. Orekhovich Russian Academy of Medical Sciences. An enterprise called NPO Cardiointech, born by the A.N. Bakulev Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery, came to work in Dubna."
A. Ratz noted that recently the supervisory Board considered a very bright project of the Immedtech enterprise, which closely cooperates with the Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology of the N.F. Gamalei Russian Academy of Medical Sciences. "We see that we are forming, in the structure of the nanotechnology cluster, a certain subcluster of nanobiotechnologies," A. Ratz added.
