Nanocapsules for biologically active substances

The Board of Directors of Rusnano at a regular meeting decided to finance an investment project to create an enterprise in Russia that produces innovative forms of natural biologically active substances, antioxidants, dyes and preservatives that reduce the cost of final products in the food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries.

The project is based on the technology of the German company AQUANOVA AG, which allows to enclose active organic substances in nanocapsules (micelles) measuring about 30 nanometers in diameter. The technology makes it possible to increase the activity and effectiveness of natural components against the background of favorable economic indicators and rational use of bio-raw materials.

The final parameters of the new RUSNANO investment project will be disclosed after the signing of an investment agreement between its participants.

CJSC "AQUANOVA RUS" was established in 2010 by the Russian company "KIMA Limited" and the company "AQUANOVA AG" (Germany). The first of the founders conducts research and experimental laboratory work in order to test and adapt innovative food ingredients for use by Russian manufacturers, and also supplies the Russian ingredient market with high-tech products of European companies-developers and manufacturers. The founder of the German side "AQUANOVA AG", GmbH is the developer of a unique technology of micellation at the nanoscale for a large number of applications under the brand name NovaSOL.

In the Dubna SEZ, the AQUANOVA RUS company plans to create a scientific, technological and testing center for the development and production of solubilizates - chemical products of fine organic synthesis consisting of nanoparticles (food micelles), their testing, production of pilot batches, certification and introduction into mass production in the food, pharmaceutical and perfume industries.
