Russian biotechnology will show you Kuzma's mother

Russia will become one of the main participants of the biotechnology forum in the USARIA Novosti, Maria Tabak.

Russian companies and research institutes will be among the main participants of the International Forum-Exhibition on Biotechnologies BIO International Convention, which begins its work on Monday.

The forum will be attended by at least 15 thousand people from 65 different countries.

"The forum's priority is the pharmaceutical industry and medical technologies. And for the Russian delegation, I think healthcare will also be a priority. This year BIO International puts a certain emphasis on Russia. From the Russian side, it will be possible to see representatives of ministries and departments, for the first time the Russian delegation will be represented at the level of deputy ministers," Nikolay Savchuk, a member of the Board of Directors of the HimRar High Technology Center, told reporters.

"Representatives of Russian pharmaceutical companies have been involved in the work of BIO for about 20 years. Representatives of academic organizations will be present, for them it is a great training ground and a place for partnership and communication," he said.

Representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the state corporation "Rusnano", the innocenter "Skolkovo" were announced among the participants of the forum.

"The Russian Exhibition Pavilion is organizing a seminar on investing in biotechnology with the participation of Russian scientists and scientists from other countries," Savchuk said.

Russian Ambassador to the United States Sergey Kislyak and Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov will speak at the opening ceremony of the Russian pavilion scheduled for Tuesday.

"13 governors of American states will come to Washington for the forum. They understand that biotechnology is an extremely important economic sector and a great opportunity to create jobs," James Greenwood, president of the forum, told reporters in turn.

He noted that although America remains one of the world leaders in the field of biotechnology, other countries, primarily China and Canada, are coming on its heels.

The Forum, which has been held annually since 1993, will be held this year from June 27 to June 30.
