The conspiracy of pharmaceutical companies has been revealed

FAS has opened a criminal case against distributors of medicines caught in collusion
AMI-TASSThe Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation has opened a criminal case against managers of a number of companies caught in cartel collusion in the market of domestic medicines.

This was stated on April 13, 2011 by the head of the FAS of the Russian Federation Igor Artemyev.

"The materials of the FAS, which formed the basis of the charges, show that these were collusions between companies, including at auctions,– Artemyev said in an interview with the Echo of Moscow radio station. "If collusion really took place, this is an amazing cynicism towards children and the elderly."

"So far we can only talk about distributors involved in a cartel, but the prosecutor's office has data that some government officials are connected with this case," the head of the FAS of the Russian Federation stressed. "There are an insane number of companies involved in the case – almost all the leaders of the domestic industry."

"The overestimation of the cost of medicines for children and pensioners amounted to tens of percent, and in some cases even several times," Igor Artemyev said.
