Scientists have found out how the smell of food affects life expectancy

Experiments with roundworms (nematodes) have shown exactly how, in which, under the influence of a certain taste or smell, sensory neurons of Caenorhabditis elegans were activated, increasing the production of the hormone insulin-6. In particular, a decrease in the life expectancy of the nematode was recorded. Scientists have noted that overweight people are most sensitive to the smell of food.
